Energy Efficient Tips

Beat rising energy costs.

If your energy and fuel bills have been getting higher and higher, it is especially important to make sure that your systems are running at peak efficiency.  A great way to start is with an annual system inspection, cleaning and tune-up.

Reduce your energy consumption.
  • Replace dirty or clogged air filters

  • Reduce the temperature of your hot water heater to 115-120 degrees

  • Check ducts periodically for leaks

  • Use a programmable thermostat

  • Upgrade to an ultra-high efficiency Energy Star rated system

  • Seal leaks around doors, windows and foundations

  • If you have a zone system, lower the heat in unused rooms

  • Add insulation to attics, crawlspaces and other areas with high heat loss

  • Check system controls to make sure your system starts, runs and shuts off correctly

  • Clean evaporator and air conditioning coils, and check refrigerant levels
